Past instances in which I professed to like you were fraudulent.

[The Simpsons (December 29, 1996)]

In the Simpsons episode Hurricane Neddy, Ned Flanders was being treated in a mental institution. Homer Simpson was brought in to release Ned’s anger in a healthy way, but instead of having Homer organically annoy Ned, the doctors gave him a script to read. One of the inane lines given was, “Past instances in which I professed to like you were fraudulent.”
